on writing

it doesn't get any easier

do you think of yourself as a writer?

it’s perhaps moot—through the function of writing one reveals themselves to be a writer—but the title of “writer” implies frequency, or a confidence in one’s abilities.

and maybe compensation? depends on who you ask.

It’s not a revolutionary line of thinking, but it serves to help me reach a deeper point: you shape your own identity through the actions you take, then your identity is again reshaped as those actions are perceived by others.
